The 1.6 Duratec petrol engine is an all-aluminum alloy construction, 16 Valve DOHC engine with drive-by-wire electronic throttle control for very smooth and most responsive driving experience imaginable. It also comes with an advanced knock sensing technology and twin hole injectors that ensure performance and fuel efficiency. High performance petrol that delivers 101 Ps power & 146 Nm torque.

Optimized steel strength in critical areas along with structural reinforcement, ensures passengers and the driver are unscathed even in a frontal offset collision. The Fiesta also features ABS (Anti-lock brake system) and EBD (Electronic brake distribution).
Their design, engineering and technology input from around the world and it is tested over 700,000 kms in 9 countries. The Fiesta’s GEM module (Generic Electronic Module) is the equivalent of having a computer managing the car’s engine diagnostics and electrical functions. It comes with GEM sensors that oversee all critical functions.
The console between the front seats runs the full length of the passenger compartment and reveals smartly-positioned cupholders, trinket trays, ashtray and pen stowage locations. Other stowage areas include a central and passenger side stowage shelf, side door stowage and cup holders in the rear centre armrest. The door pockets too are huge and large enough for a big bottle. The Fiesta comes with luxuries that include leather upholstery, 6 CD changer with speakers, power mirrors, hydrographic finish, silver accents on AC vents and steering, leather steering, reading lights and climate control with a variable displacement AC compressor. Ford is using a powerful 160cc scroll-type compressor, which is smoother than the conventional piston-type that tends to cycle in and out during idle. It has a powerful grille, a muscular bonnet, flared wheel arches, meaty side panels and ornamental headlamps and tail-lamps.
Its front suspension has Independent Mcpherson struts with offset coil spring / twin tube damper units and lower L-arms with optimised bushes mounted on separate cross-member with stabilizer bar. Dual-path body mounts. And its rear Semi-independent has heavy duty twist-beam with low package height coil spring and separate twin tube dampers. Dual-path body mounts.
