The 1.6 Duratec petrol engine is an all-aluminum alloy construction, 16 Valve DOHC engine with drive-by-wire electronic throttle control for very smooth and most responsive driving experience imaginable. It also comes with an advanced knock sensing technology and twin hole injectors that ensure performance and fuel efficiency. A high performance petrol that delivers 101 Ps power & 146 Nm torque.

 

The suspension is specially tuned to better absorb road surface disturbances and minimize discomfort to passengers. The chesses of Indian fiesta have been significantly reinforced over that of European version. The pillar, rocker panels or running boards have been beefed up and there is an additional cross beam behind the instrument panel. The fiesta’s front suspension uses the tried and tested MacPherson struts, but their design has been optimised for Indian Condition and tastes. Taller springs, which have a large diameter, have been used to help low speed bump absorption; the spring have been optimised for lower friction and steering has been placed on a cross member for improved stability and steering wheel feel. All four corner use twin tube struts and dual path mounts, which halve the load sent to any one part of the body of the car when the suspension takes a hard knock. The rear twist beam suspension has bushes tuned specifically to provide additional stability.

 

 It is engineered to withstand severe collisions, the Fiesta’s crash worthiness is verified with over 400 virtual crash simulations.Optimised steel strength in critical areas along with structural reinforcement, ensures passengers and the driver are unscathed even in a frontal offset collision. The Fiesta also features ABS (Anti-lock brake system) and EBD (Electronic brake distribution).

 

The Fiesta 1.6 ZXI   comes with best-in-class front and rear room space, leather upholstery, 6 CD changer with speakers, power mirrors, hydrographic finish, silver accents on AC vents and steering, leather steering, reading lights and climate control with a variable displacement.
